Frequently Asked Questions about our stats software
Using Scorebooth
Your subscription to Scorebooth provides you with an account to use our web site service. When you subscribe, you will choose a unique User ID and Password that will be required to securely access your account. Your User ID and Password will be activated once your payment is received, and you can then login to your account at www.scorebooth.com to manage your statistics. There is no software to install on your computer(s), and you always have access to the latest version of our site.
Yes. Currently, Scorebooth works with the Firefox browser (version 1.5 and higher) and the Safari browser (version 3.2 and higher) in a Mac OS X environment.
After you subscribe, login to your account. It is easy to get started tracking your stats. Once at the beginning of the season:
- Enter your Team Information and update your Contact Information
- Enter your player Roster
- Enter your Game Schedule (you can add your entire schedule prior to the season, or add games one-by-one)
Then you are ready to enter the results of each game anytime, 24 hours per day. We will organize all your season stats into easy-to-read reports that you can print, or share online.
Your subscription is good for one year, then you will be prompted to renew. As long as your account is active and fully paid, you will have access to view and update all your seasons’ stats. If your subscription expires, or if you choose to cancel - you will not be able to access your stats. Your data, however, will be saved for at least 90 days after your account expires.
Don’t worry about remembering your expiration date. When you login to your account, you will automatically receive a message when it is time to renew. You can then complete the process online by following a few simple steps, and your account will be renewed for another year. All previous data will be saved, and the stats from teams you choose to "inactivate" will still be available for viewing.
Upgrade your account anytime by contacting us. Or, if it’s close to your expiration date, you can simply renew your account online, choosing the upgrade you wish to receive.
If you forgot your User ID or Password, visit the Login page, and find the 'forgot your User ID or Password?' links at the bottom of the login box. Follow the steps and your User ID(s) and/or Password(s) will be emailed to you.
A subscription to our site comes with a detailed, searchable Help page, which also includes answers to FAQs. The Help and FAQ pages can also be printed. Additionally, check out our channel on YouTube at www.youtube.com/scorebooth for helpful videos.
Yes, there are multiple ways you can set up your teams if you are a Club Version subscriber. The Account Holder has control over all teams in the account; you set up how the other teams will function. For help with the options, please see the Help page when you login, and/or see our Help video at www.youtube.com/scorebooth.
We charge fees yearly so you always have use of the most recent version of our web site. You do not need to install software on your computers, and never need to pay for "upgrades” or new versions like most stat software. If you average out the costs over time, Scorebooth is likely less expensive, plus it is completely online.

Games & Stats
You can enter and track stats for an unlimited number of games.
From your game scorebook, enter results for each player such as Total Plate Appearances, Hits, RBI, Runs, Innings Pitched, Putouts, and Errors. Scorebooth then automatically calculates and totals statistics such as Official At Bats, Batting Average, Slugging Percentage, On-Base Percentage, OPS, ERA, Fielding Percentage, and more. You can see all of the specific stats stored and calculated by Scorebooth by checking out our Demo Version.
You are not required to enter all the stat categories. If you are interested in Batting Stats only, then you do not have to enter Pitching and Fielding Stats. Also, if you are only tracking stats for one player, you do not need to enter info on other players.
Our exclusive Starting Lineup Tool is a quick and easy way to setup your players' positions in the field and batting lineup. Drag-and-drop players to their positions in the field; as you do so, your batting order is also built. Your starting lineup then automatically transfers to the Batting, Fielding, and Pitching Stats pages to save you time. It’s a great planning tool, and can serve as a printable lineup you can give to the opposing team and/or scorekeepers!
Scorebooth calculates your pitchers' ERA based on the number of innings played by your team in its games. You select this number when you first subscribe, and you can change it at any time. Many other programs limit ERA calculations to 7 or 9 innings.
Currently, Scorebooth is not intended to track opponents’ stats. If you would like to hear more about our “League Version”, please contact us.

By default, others cannot view your stats without knowing your User ID and Password. However, if you wish to allow players, parents, fans, or the media to view your team's stats - be sure to subscribe to the Pro or Club Version.
The Pro and Club Versions allow you to share your team’s stat reports in three ways:

- You can put a link on your team’s web site which automatically sends visitors to the Reports section of your Scorebooth account (they cannot change any stats).
- You can send reports to others via email (again, they cannot change any stats).
Yes. Reporting career stats requires a subscription to our Pro or Club Version. To show career stats on the Batting, Pitching, or Fielding Reports, just select multiple seasons at the top of the report. Scorebooth accumulates statistics from the selected seasons for viewing and printing.
